Prince Hall Shriners Foundation - About Us
The Prince Hall Shriners Foundation (PHSF) is a 501(c)(3)
tax-exempt organization whose vision statement is
“The Power of Giving” and whose mission statement is
"A Helping Hand To Our Communities".
The PHSF is the philanthropic arm of the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order
Nobles Mystic Shrine (AEAONMS) [or, “Prince Hall Shriners], and, as such,
raises funds to financially support the Prince Hall Shriners national
programs, as follows.
-
National Diabetes Initiative (NDI) - NDI is a collaborative effort between the AEAONMS
and the American Diabetes Association (ADA). The initiative addresses
the shared concerns about the devastating impact of diabetes in the
African-American population. The PHSF makes an annual donation to the
ADA to support the ADA’s education and awareness programs and, moreover,
to fund research in finding a cure.
-
Shriners as Mentors (SAM) - SAM provides “at-risk” and “high-risk” African
-American male youths a forum to improve educational deficiencies. PHSF
will award grants to Prince Hall Shriners, at the local, county and
state level, in order to provide mentoring and tutoring in critical
academic disciplines. Local volunteer tutors, counselors and college
students will be encouraged to assist with this initiative.
-
Student Aid (SA)
- SA assists low-income students who have achieved academic success in
high school. PHSF will award Opportunity Grants and Scholarships for
eligible students to further their education achievements in trade
schools and in colleges/universities.
The Prince Hall Shriners Foundation accepts contributions
from individuals and organizations to support these initiatives.
Contributions may be tax exempt in accordance with applicable provisions of
the Internal Revenue Code.
